Showing Waypoint on Garmin xt

How can I show a waypoint ie: break stop on a route on a Garmin xt. Do I have load it as a route or a track?
Hi Brian, change the routepoint into a viapoint, and you wil see this point as a flag on your XT.
Use the gpx 1.1 or 1.2 file (connector or save as) -

And make sure you use the Here map.
