Phone Shuts Down Using Navigator

I have a Google Pixel 6 XL. While using the navigator, the phone shuts down after a half hour or so. When I start the phone back and restart navigator, the route continues from the beginning of the route. Checking to see if anyone else has this issue.

Hi @James-Stewart-1, Can you adjust the settings of your phone so that it does not turn off?

@james-stewart-1 The question is why the phone shuts down. Is it a setting you can change (perhaps an energy saving measure), as @Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master suggests, or does the phone maybe overheat, or is the battery low?

@hans-van-de-ven-mra-master The phone never shuts down. Only when the navigation app is running.

@herko-ter-horst The app does not run long enough for the phone to overheat. I first noticed the issue on a recent trip. I tested the problem just sitting in my house. The phone just restarts after a half hour or so.
