      Hello Everyone

I'm fairly new to MyRoute and if possible would like some help on the following -

Once I've calculated a route can I fix it to stop the Navigation app re-calculating it due to say traffic conditions or shorter alternative?

      Thanks Mark.

@Mark-David-Showell Using The navigation app in Offline mode will stop any re-routing caused by traffic events. You will need to have downloaded a map to use offline.

Always willing to help if I can.

Since the MRA planner and the MR Navigation App use the same Here map, there will be no differences between points on your route after recalculation. The only segment that changes will be from your current location to the next shapingpoint. requirement for this to work is to have equal routing options both in MRA and Navigation. The easiest method to have that, and keep that, is to not use non-standard routing options at all. You can use those while planning, but it is best to adapt your route to be equal using the default routing options before you start using it. Doing so there is no need to have recalculation turned off. Except perhaps when you do not want to skip a traffic jam, as Nick says.

Just to clarify things @Con-Hennekens. The Here map used in the route planner can sometimes be different to the map used in the navigation app. This is because Here choose to update their web maps and mobile maps at different times. This will probably have no affect on routes but I thought I’d just clarify it.

@Nick-Carthew, that is good to know. I did not realize that.

@Mark-David-Showell I would have thought that this was an option on the navigation device rather than the MyRouteApp software - unless of course you are using MyRouteApp to navigate.

Let’s also not forget the other option of simply adding more Shaping Points to the Route. 😊
