feature request: add a map layer for openchargemap

With the increasing use of EVs, a planning option with the sophistication of MRA and integrated knowledge of the charging points is needed. Adding an 'Open charge map' layer would meet this need.

That is a good request.
I drive a KIA e- Niro electric car and in combination with Apple car play it would be a great feature.

Maybe when MRA update the POI library, electric charge points could be added. This would certainly be less expensive than paying for another map.

Yesterday when I tried the new Apple car play function I noticed some charging station for EV in the map.

1: the charge point data in 'open charge map' is live, being updated to show which chargers are working and in some cases, if they are in use.
2: copying the charge point data is not a free option, a lot of work is involved and in some cases, the data is licenced by OCM for free; as a commercial product MRA would probably need to pay.
