Do you close the app during the pause?

I recognize this. I am not sure if it has been corrected already, But I think that even with NOT closing the app, but just restarting the route, that option defaults back to "Beginning of route". I have made comments about this before, to make that option an application option instead of a route option (that seems to be not permanently).

@Con-Hennekens When you restart the route, the app will take you to the first point. However, you can see where you are and then select the next WP via "Edit route settings" as explained above. Maybe later it will be possible to select the WP directly. lg Kudee

@Kudee I will be using the app again on a tour this coming weekend so I will use the route option navigate to closest WP or specific WP # and load the maps into TomTom Go as a back up

Yes, that's what I am saying. So the option that says "start at closest waypoint" is not permanent, and therefore meaningless. It should be an application-options, not a route-option and certainly not one that defaults back to what you did not choose before.

@Con-Hennekens What I do during a stop for lunch or whatever other reason is pause the route and when I continue just touch the screen to restart and the route is displayed exactly where it was paused.
I don't stop the route or anything, just pause it and it works fine for me everytime. -
When using a ride I made, saved as a Harley GPX, and then use in a Harley Boom Box and I have this problem, when I get back on bike I look for the ride in the boom box, find the ending waypoint and click on it and it works every time

I don't stop the route or anything, just pause it and it works fine for me everytime.I tend to check the route, where we are exactly and where shortcuts or detours are possible. Therefore it is not possible to not stop the route. You should be able to restart aroute given the available options to do so, but they do not work as intended. That's called a bug

@Con-Hennekens Even then it is possible. Start the desired route and then skip to the next waypoint from the location where you are at and you will be guided first to that next waypoint and then the route will be followed.

@Albert-Renting, Yes Albert, but that is not what you would expect from a feature called "Start at closest waypoint" now, is it? I have been using Navigation from the get go, so I know how it works

This wouldn't be an issue if the App was stable, reliable and didn't reset the route numerous times during a ride. I will continue to use TomTom Go app until I can be confident that these issues have been fixed, fingers crossed that the new version of the MRA Navigation App is an improvement on the current build.
