Map colours and side roads
-
Any advanced motorcycle training will tell you not to overtake on approach to a junction or side road. I would like to request that more of the map colour options show side roads clearer. In the original navigation app only the "Roads only" map makes side roads easy to see (they are yellow and not white as in all the other map layers).
This is a safety feature enhancement

Thanks

@BikeRNick Every good instructor teaches you to read the road. That way, you don't need to look at the map to spot a side road. Spend less time looking at your navigation device and more time watching the road. Now that's a real improvement in road safety!

And if not, then perhaps you should take a few more lessons! In the Netherlands there are specialised courses for. -
While I agree with @rob-verhoeff (only overtake when you see there is no sideroad in reality instead of in screen), there is more at play here. When your navigation tells to go right at a junction, it is an easy error to go right one junction too early if it is close by and you cannot see it on screen. Therefore I think there is value in having the map resemble reality.
In the beta app there are new map colors available that in my view are a step in the right direction though. Especially "Stanley" is my new favorite.
