I've just run into an issue where the behaviour of Streetview and Google Maps is inconsistent. Here's what happens:

    1. Start with say HERE maps as the overlay.
    2. Click on the Streetview icon on the map to highlight Streetview streets. All good so far.
    3. Change the map overlay to any of the Google maps and the Streetview streets are still visible but no map data is rendered. Change to any other map overlay other than Google and the behaviour is as expected.

For reference, I'm using fully up to date Windows 11 and the Brave browser. Behaviour is the same with Edge browser.

    Some screenshots:

    1. Starting point. HERE maps no Streetview

    2. Turn on Streetview. All good so far.

    3. Switch to Google Maps. No map data displayed.

    4. Switch to OpenStreetMap. All good.

    5. Switch to another Google map. No map data displayed.

    6. Switch back to HERE. All good again.

The issue is really easy to work around but I don't imagine that this behaviour is by design.

Same behavior on Firefox Browser on Linux RedHat 8.
So... is Route Laboratory related, not browser or O.S.

@Stevedo-6-0 The maps that you are changing are the overlay maps. What planning map do you have set? I don't see any of these issues when using any of the planning maps. My screenshot shows the HERE planning map and the Google overlay map with Street View selected. I'm using Windows 11 on the Chrome browser.

          bc133e4d-56cc-47e9-880a-afef23bb20dd-image.jpeg

However, I do see a similar issue when using the FireFox browser. The data from the Google overlay map does not load when switching from another overlay map to a Google overlay when Street View is on. If I select a Google overlay map and then turn on Street View all is as it should be.

In my example I use HERE planning map as I always do.
And in the same setup as @nick-carthew has I see the issue when switching between map layers upon coming back to any Google overlay.

I’ve just noticed something else. I’m using the planner in Firefox.
When I’m viewing a route created in Here and displayed using the Here overlay map, Streetview works perfectly. If I then switch to the Google overlay (without Streetview), I simply get the map with the route! If I then switch to Streetview, the blue lines appear as they should and I can open the Streetview image. But if I switch Streetview off and then back on again, the blue lines disappear and I can no longer open Streetview.
The only thing that happens when I click the Streetview button is that the bar at the bottom of the screen for playing back the route appears and disappears again with the next click.
Only once I’ve opened a different overlay map first and then gone back to the Google map can I use the Street View option again – but only once.
This only happens with the Google overlay maps.

Edit: For clarity, I mean the "base" planning map as shown below

To quote @nick-carthew "If I select a Google overlay map and then turn on Street View all is as it should be." Yes, I said it was an easy workaround. Surely though, this behaviour is not as intended?
