GBD files into MyRoute

I have a lot of GBD files, from my Garmin days.

Unless I have missed something, MyRoute Routeplanner cannot open GBD files. I am using GPS Visualizer to convert the GBD which (whilst quite efficient) is not necessarily fast. Are there any plans to allow Routeplanner to open a display GBD files?

it is indeed a limitation of MRA not handling any other file format except the gpx file format.

you better can do what you're already doing. converting the file into a gpx file. and i there are more online tools/websites who can do the trick.

and after converting them into a gpx file, best is to import them as a track in MRA rather than a route.

a track will have more waypoints and will hold on to the original route much better.

@Richard-18 if you are using Garmin, I guess you have also the Software Basecamp. By this, you can receive the gdb file from Nav device and open it. Then simply save/export it as gpx file. This can be easily uploaded to MRA Routeplanner

Yes, I still have BaseCamp available. The problem I have is that it became very unstable on my Mac, so I stopped using it. That my Mac had trouble working with my Garmin XT was the final straw, ending relationship between my and Garmin going back over 30 years.

The instability speeded up my move to MyRoute’s Routeplanner, which (despite a couple of small limitations) I have really enjoyed using. That Routeplanner now works so well with MyRoute’s Navigation app, is just a bonus.

If Routeplanner could be extended to cater for GBD, it would be near enough perfect for me.

I always try to use track import, when importing routes. I agree, it gives much better results.

I don't think that will ever happen, since GDB is not a very common file format for exchanging routes.
