Update 5.0 - major app overhaul!

Hi everyone!

A long awaited announcement is finally there!
We are ready for the beta testing stage of our massive v5 update and it will be released to you this week

This update is the pinnacle of our app growth. A true evolution in user interface and experience. We've aimed to create a brand new app with a more premium look and feel while remaining true to our identity

After months of Alpha testing we believe the app is ready to see a larger group of users. We truly hope that you will enjoy the experience. The aim of the app is to feel consistent to the user throughout all parts of the app, making the experience smooth and premium.

Home screen
The biggest change is the new home screen. A nice clean look and feel with instant access to our most important features. Using the HERE maps throughout the entire application means that everything is now also available offline

The previous home screen felt outdated and not very useful to be honest as it originated from a whole different app. Let's remember where we come from and reflect on that! The app used to be a simple "tracking" app.

Roundtrips
With the new interface you can generate a roundtrip in even less clicks.

As the quality of these roundtrips also has been improved, it never has been as fun to let us decide your next adventure

AB routes
With a new and enhanced search interface in the app, it has actually become fun to search for your next destination.

Tapping a POI on the map, long pressing any location or using the search interface will all allow you generate a route.

Scenic routes
Feeling adventurous? Choose scenic and we will generate a fun route to your destination!

Still works the same as you are used to but it just looks a lot better

RouteXpert library
Want to drive a route of top quality? Use the RouteXpert library!

In the updated app interface it has become even easier to find RouteXpert routes

Other features
Finding nearby routes, checking the activity feed or creating your own route still works as easy as you are used to!

Definitely try out the in-app routeplanner to experience the joy of creating or editing routes on your phone!

Navigating itself
The navigation interface itself has largely been kept the same!

Conclusion
We hope you will love the new interface as much as we do.
Since we are testing the app we always feel a bit sad when switching back to the current production version of the app.

Besides the major overhaul in user interface a lot of minor details have changed as well. So many that's impossible to list them all here. That's why all your feedback is more than welcome. Everything should work as expected, stability should be improved and above all you need to love the new interface.

Please provide us with your feedback on any issue at all or suggestion on how we can improve.

We aim to release this update at the end of the month as we have faith in the quality as it is!

@Corjan-Meijerink I'm afraid of seeming annoying, but I'd still like to ask: when revising the MyRoute app, were you also able to implement integration/support for Remote-2 controllers from DMD?
More and more users are eagerly waiting for this.

erste Gehversuche, tut mir leid sehr Buggy.
Wegpunkte genau setzen auf dem iPad ist unmöglich.
man drückt unten auf den gelben Dot und irgendwo in der Mitte setzt sich der Wegpunkt.
Oder man drückt lange mit dem Finger in der Karte und der Punkt ist nicht genau dort.

Like @Peter-Schiefer said using the IPad in landscape mode and creating a route the placing of the waypoints is of. Using it in portrait mode, witch is not my preferred mode the placing of the waypoints is good. The textbox in that mode is also better. Zooming in max makes the waypoint disapear.
