With the new update when loading, a route divides it into many way points. These appear on the navigation screen in brown, keep the initials that have been put when making the route. So if you plan 25 way points she invents 70 or more points between them

I made a similar inquiry, and the answer is that this only happens with OSM and TomTom... if you use Here, it doesn't add those intermediate waypoints. I used to select TomTom because I carry a TomTom Rider 550 as a backup on long trips. And, sure enough, if you switch to Here, those extra points aren't generated.

Strange, I made a (segmentation) test route, using route-engine Here with only 3 waypoints. When starting this route in navigation v6, I got a route with 156 waypoints. the 3 original colored blue, rest very small and grey.
Is there a technical reason for this?

          Because of the segments.
Every segment is a route. Navigation is only possible for one route. Therefore we convert it all to a single route using more waypoints to exactly match the segments.

Same reason why TomTom / OSM routes get more “watpoints” when navigating those in our app.

Thanks Corjan, makes sense. Appreciate the hard work and quick responses!

I understand why it is done this way, but then on the screen only the distance to the next blue dot should appear, not to the greys

I was also testing the option of using route segments, but with the HERE map, there’s no way to select a "curviness" level. Furthermore, if you switch the routing engine, you end up with a long list of gray waypoints in the navigation app, which looks quite chaotic.
While route segments are certainly a useful feature, the HERE map offers very limited choices—essentially just "include highways" or "exclude highways."
                My question is:

                • Is there really no way to have fully customizable route segments—similar to what’s possible with the TomTom engine—when using the HERE map?
If that’s not an option, perhaps it would be possible to improve the organization or visual presentation of that long, gray list of waypoints.

Regardless, I’m very impressed with everything else—truly great work!
