A20 Edit tracklog – adjust the start or end point, and clean up zig-zag patterns.
-
I recorded a tracklog here (on 25-07-2026) and have now opened it in the new web planner. I would like the ability to clean up the recording after the fact—for instance, in cases where the device wasn't set to "pause," meaning everything (including unwanted movement) was captured.
-
Specifically, I would like to be able to edit the tracklog along its path—for example, to smooth out "zig-zag" patterns or remove specific, disruptive sections of the route.
-
I would also like to be able to shift the starting point—useful if the navigation device was started while still inside a house or hotel, or while I was still lingering by the bike.
-
Similarly, I would like to be able to shift the end point—useful if the navigation device continued recording after I had already arrived at a house or hotel.

@Hubert-Thoring A tracklog is a true record of your journey, even if it was possible I don’t think a tracklog should be made editable. If you want to retain your privacy you can pause or stop the tracking before you reach your destination.

@Hubert-Thoring @corjan-meijerink would say: TRACKLOG-DISCIPLINE....

Hi, the only possibility is with manual work. Export the gpx, edit with https://www.beavertrack.de/ (delete unused WP), save it and upload back to MRA.
Add pictures manually. -
In that case, I’ll have to make sure to hit 'pause' more often from now on—I’d never felt the need to do that until now.
Well, whatever happens next, so be it... I don’t want to use any other software for this; hopefully, it will eventually be possible to do it using the MRA route planner. -
Not something I plan to work on. The idea of tracklogs are they show exactly what you did.
Once we start allowing modifications, people will want to do everything with them.
