Further Positive Experiences with Navigation.
-
Following on from my previous positive experience post, this weekend I used Navigation for two routes of over 100 miles each. This is purely on a test basis, following my previous troublesome experiences, as I know both routes very well On the outward leg, I did receive a few slightly late voice guidance, and a complete lack of directions at one roundabout that IS included in the HERE map view (seems odd), but otherwise faultless. On the return, the app performed absolutely faultlessly. Spot on timing of voice guidance, no loss of voice/lack of guidance - even at the roundabout mentioned above (making that even more odd).
It looks like the development team are getting on top of things and I’d like to express my appreciation for their hard work.
After this weekend, I’m feeling more confident altogether in the performance and reliability of Navigation and in using the app without backup, which is a huge step forward.

Bin kein PC Experte, aber meine samstägliche Routenplanung beinhaltet immer ca. 400km, und das ohne Probleme, oder die sind so minimal das ich es nicht merke

@PAD-0, nice of you to come around and voice that. Navigation is not without quirks, but very usable and comfortable when taking a few things into account. I am glad you found those quirks to bypass them

Just a pity that it took more than 3 years to get this far. I had a subscription for three years and during that period it always crashes when I used it

@Matt-Flaming this seems to be a situation that deserves a serious investigation from MRA. I notice that some other users are complaining about the same kind of issues while apparently for most others it just works.
It is worth getting to the bottom of this as it may reveal some deeper bugs (or gremlins for that matter)

@Matt-Flaming
For the most part it seems those using iOS are much happier with it than Android users...which is sad.
But I'm a fAndroid user as well and have almost never encountered any issues with the app so far, other than a demo mode once. Maybe phone related. Yet it also makes me worried that the code seems to house some snags that might causes issues with my usage as well.
Fingers crossed...

@Matt-Flaming Hahaha okay. So there is a chance all your reported issues are possibly lurking down the surface in any android phone?
