Routing issue
-
Hi,
I had my first ride today with the new Android version to the Dutch mountains.
And I had some problems.
1.
I started at home with navigation and had a stop at the post office.
I had to park behind the house when I turned my bike to go back on track.
The navigation automatically switched from the next waypoint 2 to the final waypoint 26.
So my 5-hour ride finished in 2 min.
Ok, I drove on the same route, but how did that happen?
To be continued.

This is part of the beta test MRA Routenplanner Next...
And maybe the setting on WP was skipped automatically....

@Hubert-Thoring it can't happen that all those points were skipped automatically. Must be something else

@Jörgen So if I understand correctly:
- You drive from (via)point 1 to the red circle...
- Then you drove back to viapoint 1 to park behind your house and drop of the thing you picked up...
- Then when you got back to your bike to ride the route you found it had skipped to (via)point 26...
If so, I think the auto skip algorithm determined that after a certain time of driving from the red circle back to (via)point 1, that you did NOT intend to drive the remaining part of the route and concluded through some programmed logic, that (via)point 26 was the next one to go to.
This is a typical edge case of something that practically will not occur very often. My question is though: if you intended to drive back to your house in the first place, why not start the route when you were to leave the house for the 2nd time?
It is sort of challenging the auto skip algorithm in a unrealistic way haha. Please note that my analysis is based solely on my assumptions that I started my reply with.
