IOS: App crashes 2-3 times a day (v5.1/5.2)
-
I was also using the app in France and had also some freezing issues, i use Apple CarPlay, the sreen blanked out and the arrow was still visible, i couldn't reset the because i was driving but after a while the map was visible again but still freezing. It almost look if the phone was out of memory. Iphone 15 Pro
-
I had exactly the same problem on my Samsung tablet. I use no CarPlay or other connection stuff.
I’ve submitted a ticket with the logs. Corjan is on a well-deserved holiday, so it’ll take a bit of time.
However, in my case it was version 5.1. -
Same problem for me with iPhone 16 plus and CarPlay, I had written it in another discussion, same behaviour described above In the first post
-
2 day trip, the CarPlay app closed by itself once on Saturday and once today... iPhone phone, restarted from CarPlay, it asked if I wanted to navigate the route that had just closed and I gave consent... all this before version 5.1 never happened...

Version 5.2.0-474
Android
Navigation via the app ONLY.Here’s a quick update on my 4 days in South Tyrol
On Thursday and Friday, I used online navigation for a total of 860 km; the navigation kept cutting out, the phone’s home screen would appear, and I had to reopen the MRA to continue navigating.I’ve now had two instances where the app apparently failed to recognise or register a waypoint.
For example, waypoint 10 appears in the top right-hand corner, but I’m already at waypoint 14. The navigation works, but waypoint 10 in the top right-hand corner cannot be skipped; the app doesn’t respond to any commands to skip this waypoint 10.
On Saturday and Sunday we also covered over 800 km, but this time entirely offline.
The app worked perfectly offline.
Track recording was not enabled on any of the four days.

@Peter-Zehentreiter during your first 2 days was there an indication that your internet connection was poor or nonexistant. And did you get notification that the mode was automatically changed to offline
-
On my 72-days camper journey I had freezing moments every day.
-
Same here, multiple crashes per day when used all day.
I have had this happen on a iPhone 17 Pro Max and a iPhone 15 ever since the major rewrite. Luckily it crashes and then asks to continue the previous route, so it recovers easily.
Also, it crashed using CarPlay and without using CarPlay.

@Marinus-van-Deudekom No, there was no indication that there was no internet connection, nor was there any indication that the system had been temporarily switched to offline mode.
The error did not occur in the mountains either, but had already occurred during the journey in areas with good network coverage.

I had a 9h trip yesterday without any problems, everything worked pretty well, even in the mountains with bad internet connection ...

@Marinus-van-Deudekom Unfortunately, NO,
I was out and about as a tour guide with a group of 10 people. The focus was simply on keeping the system up and running

@Marinus-van-Deudekom On top of that, I’m trying to convince my colleagues of the benefits of MRA.
But I was constantly busy explaining the glitches to them and pointing out that we were working on fixing the problem.
So creating a log file was the last thing on my mind

But I'll try right now.
