How to find hotels in the desktop app?

Is there a way to find hotels on a planned route with the desktop app?

You can open the POI and then select hotels, after that you must zoom in to see the poi's

I used Booking for many years on my trips, I even reached the "genius 3" stage (extra discounts, better rooms, etc.) and I am satisfied with this group. Although, nowadays I also search in Trivago, which will show you Booking addresses and from more other booiking-services.
Buth my first move is always opening the Booking site

like @travellexxie , I mostly use booking.com as well. And no, it's mostly cheaper, if you call the hotel directly or use their website. But the big advantages for me are:

• it's easy to find a accomodation by booking.com, which fits my needs exactly
• it's more easy for me, If I don't speak the language of the hotels destination
• usually I select such hotels, which offers a cost free storno. So, I'm flexible in case, I can't reach my destination in expected time
• discount, If I frequently use booking.com

Just to inform you:
In The Netherlands there are currently 2 lawsuits ongoing against Booking.com for the following reasons:

1. Consumers are paying too much for hotels rooms booked via Booking.com
2. Booking.com allegedly restricts competition
3. Consumers are mislead by Booking.com with so-called "dark patters (meaning fabricated scarcity and fake discounts) by Booking.com
4. Hotels using the Booking.com platform were required by Booking.com not to offer rooms on their own websites for lower prices than on Booking.com even if the lower price the hotels want to offer are the real/actual consumers prices
5. There is a ruling of the European Court of Justice that the practices mentioned under point 4 are no longer permitted (but Booking.com is still using these practices)

o, even though Booking.com is still one of the better platforms to book hotels, do as i do. Select your hotel and call the hotel themselves.

In several cases i found out like this that a hotel i placed a booking still had more than enough rooms left, even when Booking.com mentioned that there were just a few rooms left.

At one hotel, I was able to rebook my room on the spot to one with a nicer view of a lake for half the amount I would have paid via Booking.com for the same room as an "upgrade". On the spot i paid €40 more for the upgrade, via Booking.com i would pay somewhere between €80 - €90 for the same upgrade.....

I like many others use booking.com as well as hotel.com for all of my hotel booking. I tend to book well in advance and it just gives me that security and ease of booking. Across the years I have built up my levels to where I get some decent prices. And when I say I book in advance I am just starting to book the 9 rooms a night I will need for your trip in June 2027.
