Overlay Multiple Routes
-
Hi all, I've recently learned through this helpful forum that I can save a route as a GPX file and upload it as a track so I can see a large route without the waypoints blocking the view - excellent. Is it possible to overlay multiple routes (using different colours would be ideal) onto a single saveable map in the same way (no waypoints) - would like to be able to see all trips I've done consolidated onto one map. Do I repeat the same process for all routes?
Also, are there any videos the Embed function?

SteveHi @Steve-25 if you mean something like this, then yes but it is limited to 20 routes

so it is useful to show a whole trip but not your complete library of rides ever done -
Hi Brian, If I could overlay 20 routes that would be great. Is the final solution restricetd to a number of waypoints?

Hi @Steve-25 this is just a way to display multiple routes OR tracks in one map view
I use it to show old routes as I am creating a new route so I can wee where I have been in the past & stitch together a new improved routeYou need to start a new route then go the the 3 bar menu next to Waypoints

You can then select either Routes or Tracklogs, navigate to a folder on MRA where you have stored the route/tracklog you want to add
You can then change the colours using the colour pickerIt is necessary to add at least 1 waypoint or Point of Interest to the map to give the database somewhere to locate/fix/save the route. I tend to add multiple POI's such as the hotels at the end of each day

Not sure, what you mean as "waypoint"?
As far I know a route can contain up to 200 routepoints. (points which are used to calculate the route)
I don't know about limitations for way points (points of interest - only an icon on map, not necessarily used in route calculation)If you use the method, @Brian-McG has explained, only the routepoints of the first route will be populated in this view. The other added routes (or tracks) will be populated simply as line; without routepoints.

A concrete example of the final result
