Just been downloading maps, and found that Spain has 19 different downloads if you don't do the whole country. This proved a challenge for my abysmal geographic knowledge.
I suggest just three or four regions would have been easier, eg North West etc, with an "i" pop up to give more details.

@Tony-13, these regions usually refer to provinces, counties, sub-states or other names for official divisions of countries into smaller parts. It is HERE who assembles these regions. So if you know you will be travelling to Catalunya, you only need that part. But to be honest, with the available memory in modern phones, it is almost a nobrainer to download the complete country.

If Spain was divided into North, West, South and East, like you suggest, where would you expect Madrid to belong to? 😉

A bit slow coming back to this one.
I know I can put the effort it and work around this, but I don't have unlimited memory on my phone. And if I put whole countries in then updating maps takes forever (as it does in all systems).
There does not seem to be an easy way to work out which administrative areas a route passes through?
You can't search for areas in MyRoutes, and cross checking with Google is not easy.
