tomtom 450 and Mac catalina
-
Hi,
I can't put routes on to my tomtom using my route website.
If I use tomtom drive, there are no problems.
In Finder,the tomtom isn't in the list.Kind regards
-
@maltje You need to download the connector to your Mac or PC first. Choose your route and then select Export. If you have the connector installed choose Open Route.
-
@Nick-Carthew Sorry,but it won't work.
kind regards.
-
@maltje Can you explain with some more detail please. Have you downloaded the MRA connector?

@maltje
Have you tried using the Tom Tom MyDrive (Beta) option to get the route directly onto your Tom Tom 450?From your route in MRA, use the “Save As” menu and select the very last option “Tom Tom MyDrive (Beta)”
It will prompt you to enter you Tom Tom Email address and Password and it will send the track directly to the 450.
It sends via WiFi so turn your 450 on and connect to WiFi on the 450.Steve.

@Steve-Lynch Does the 450 have wi-fi? I’m not sure that it does.

@Nick-Carthew
Good point Nick i forgot that the earlier ones didn’t have WiFi, The 450 does have Bluetooth gpx file sharing though which does work for the TT 550 using the MRA Tom Tom MyDrive (Beta) option and only a Bluetooth connection.
Worth a try on the 450 methinks. -

@Nick-Carthew
Seemed to work for me using my TT 550.
I switched the WiFi off on my Samsung Phone.
Forced the Tom Tom to “Forget” my house WiFi.
Paired the Phone and TT 550 via Bluetooth then opened MRA App on Samsung and used the MyDrive (Beta) option.
The route transferred to the Tom Tom 550. -
Hi @Steve-Lynch
Your MRA account and the routes within it are not stored on your phone or PC, they are up there in the cloud, so it would be impossible to transfer a route without a wi-fi connection of some sort. It would also be impossible to access your MRA account so maybe you connected via 4G. I have the TT500 (same inards as 550) and you can no longer transfer routes using Bluetooth gpx file sharing. You used to be able to on previous TT models but not the 500/550. Hope this helps. -
Doh! I’ll get my coat!
Didn’t even think about 4G, sorry for wasting your time Nick. -
