Having just invested significantly in an MRA Gold licence to go with my brand new Samsung Tab Active 5, a Wunderlinq (for bike data from my BMW GS) plus all the relevant mounting bits, I was horrified to discover after connecting it all together and pairing it with my Sena SRL Mesh to find that the audio volume from MRA is unacceptably and unusably low. Despite much fiddling around I have not been able to resolve this.

I note there are several forum posts dating back to the middle of last year where it's been acknowledged that the volume from the MRA app is too low from Android devices, yet this still seems to be unresolved. Please can someone from MRA advise.

Note that music (for example) from the same device is fine. The problem was repeatable on a Galaxy S24+.

One of the other posts described an Android app referred to as "Sound Assistant" and from the "Galaxy store" but I can;t find this app either there or within the Google Play Store. Does anyone know it's been renamed perhaps?

@Bodrick did you alter the soundlevel to max from within the audio-menu (in MRA)?

@Bodrick Try listening to the example TTS voices in the Settings, and adjust your volume on the Sena and phone accordingly whilst the test text is playing. That seemed to help me (not quite sure why).

      Find the voices here:
Settings -> Navigation settigns -> Audio -> Voice
and tap the 'play' icon on the right

Acapella TTS engine for Android has louder and better quality voices. They are paid but it is worth it.

(I use MRA Next only on Android Auto. Every comment, suggestion, etc will be based on my usage with Android Auto)

@Rob-Verhoeff Hi Rob - yes I did. Interestingly, the 3 levels of adjustment make no difference to the volume whatsoever.

@richtea999 Hi - thanks for your suggestion, but - you've guessed it - I tried that already. I've used the Senas for several years and that's always been the way of adjusting the volume from different sources (satnav, voice comms etc). It makes no difference as reading the MRA docs suggests that it used "media" for all its bluetooth data from the device, so music. MRA instructions etc are then no independently adjustable.

@M-Schrijver Ah, that's useful - thanks for that. I have tried the 2 available TTS settings (default Google and Samsung) and I found no volume difference between them. I'll take a look at Acapella πŸ‘

@Bodrick I didn't mean one of the three settings under 'Voice prompts' but altering the volume level under 'Play audio sample'. Just pump up the volume while playing the sample.

@Rob-Verhoeff - Hi Rob, thanks for the suggestion but have tried that also (since that's usually the way of adjusting individual sounds sources to the Sena).

@Kenny-Thierens Hi Kenny - no, not really. it is just about useable but the volume is maxed-out. I'm off to Europe later this week so will find out what it's like on long motorway trips. I've not heard back from the MRA team after an initial reply after logging a support call.
