Hard to stop tracklog recording and discard it
-
Bug in the Android app:
On the app home screen I click the record track button. The red icon turns green.
Then I want to stop the recording and delete the recorded data, so I click the now green icon, and additional icons show up.
So fare so good.Now the issue:
I click the X icon to stop recording. This closes the additional icons menu, but recording continuesIn order to stop recording, I have to minimize the app, end it by swiping it up (Androids way to terminate an app), then restart/open the app. Then I get prompted if I want to "Restore tracklog".
Now I can finally end and discard the recording. -
@Makro, the X is for closing the menu. Pres the disk to store, then the bin to throw the recording away instead of storing it.

@Con-Hennekens
Oh yes, there it is.Not intuitive to me, to first click save, in order not to save it...

@Makro, well, choosing not to save it, or giving it a name to save it to, are not that much different If the X was about not saving the track, many people would have accidentally deleted it. Screen estate is limited. But I understand your reasoning.

Screen estate is limited.
Yes, that's always the issue on mobile devices.
The save icon is only present on the screen, after having pressed the record icon. So maybe there is enough space, next to the save icon, for a new icon with a trash can.
At least my 8 inch tablet has enough space for an additional icon
