my only gripe is that if i go for a ride away for a few days i cannot seem to find a satisfactory way to put the next days route into my navigator (unless predone beforehand) using my iphone would be great to make a new route but as yet i cannot find a way to send that route via iphone in mra to my bmw garmin ?

I do not really get what you mean but If you want to use the MRA routeplanner in the webbrowser of your iphone then you cabn download a route in gpx to your iphone.
I assume that your bmw garmin accepts USB? Connect it to the iphone and use that thing as any USB stick?

ok ill try that thanks

A USB connector alone is not enough. The adapter must then have a connection for power supply. Apple's Lightning to USB-3 camera adapter has that:

Why would you need a power supply? The iphone has a battery, and the garmin gps on the BMW is connected to the motorcycle circuit?

@Drabslab
The iPhone sees the navi as an external drive without its own power suply. That's the way it is and I don't know why that is.
It doesn't work without that extra power suply. -

been there, done that, spending 50% of the time on "driving back" or "around a mountain" because I took a wrong turn... Adventure riding was adventurous then
Long live Michelin, still one of my favorite maps in MRA!!!!

This was one of the reasons I switched to Tom Tom.
I can send any route directly from MRA (on a mobile device or laptop) to my tom tom rider 550 using the MRA Tom Tom Mydrive Beta option in the “Save as” menu.
The only thing I miss from the Garmin is the Media Player. That was awesome.
