Offline navigation route calculation error
-
Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask you the reason for what happened after creating an itinerary with the web route planner.
1- On my mobile I download it available offline
2- I wanted to start navigation offline but a message appeared that it was impossible to calculate the route and I had to enable online navigation
3- I connected my mobile phone to the internet
4- navigation started correctlyCan you explain to me why the route could not be used offline?
Thank you

@Corrado-Miniati-0, is this by any chance a route that you have downloaded long ago? I suspect that it might have been downloaded in a version of the app based on an older SDK. In some circumstances that can make the old route invalid, because some new parameters have been introduced which are absent in the route.
You can check this yourself, by re-downloading that route and trying to start it offline again.

Hi Con and thanks for the feedback.
I had prepared the itinerary 10 minutes before departure by bike, to be careful I also tried today to make it available offline (deleting the previous one in the download folder) but unfortunately I obtained the same result. -
@Corrado-Miniati-0, Okay, it was worthwhile to check.
Are you absolutely sure ALL regions the route crosses are downloaded in your offline maps? If you want you can share the route, I will try to simulate. Don't forget to set to public. -
@Con-Hennekens
Hi Con,
I checked the downloaded maps again and in fact you were right because Slovenia was missing but I had downloaded it 3 weeks ago but it was marked as not downloaded.
After downloading it the navigation is fine, so I wonder why the Slovenia map was deleted from download? -
@Corrado-Miniati-0, No idea, but I am glad it's solved now

@Con-Hennekens
yes thanks for the support, now I will investigate to understand the reason for the canceled download. -
@Corrado-Miniati-0, I don't mean any disrespect, but it is quite easy to tap the X behind a country by accident Would that not be the most logical cause?

@Con-Hennekens
sure Con but believe me it didn't happen
