Is there a way to calculate the total km of a trip?

No, not by the system, you will have to calculate them manually

A quite crude work-around, if you don't need to do it too often, is highlight the text, and 'Paste special... -> text' into Excel, and then use that to add them up.

Highlighting is done easiest by clicking somewhere down the bottom and dragging upwards.
