Traffic Data like Google Maps?

Hi, I'm currently looking for a good motorcycle navigation app. I used Calimoto last year and it bothered me that there is no live traffic data like Google Maps. That's why I often just rode using Google Maps so that I wouldn't be surprised by traffic jams or road closures.

Hence the question of whether MyRouteApp can access the data from Google Maps and would navigate me just as reliably as if I were to use Google Maps directly?

@Moritz-Geschke Don't worry about your English

In MyRoute-app we display delays with orange / red colours. If you've enable the traffic aware route calculation in functional settings (it is by default) - the fastest route will be calculated.

Given the nature of our app, there is a focus on accurate route navigation (using routes created with waypoints) and less on riding from A to B avoiding all traffic delays.

@Corjan-Meijerink Ah okay, so the app is not designed to simply take the shortest route to a specific destination with taking traffic data into calculation?

What happens if I have now created a route with several waypoints? Would the app take road closures and traffic jams into account and reroute me directly without any manual input?
Where do you get your traffic data from? Is this traffic data as up-to-date as Google's?
I would also be interested in the same question about roads in general. In other words, how up-to-date is the data when new roads are built, demolished or renamed?

@Moritz-Geschke Road network is very up to date!

Traffic information is quite accurate but not as accurate as Google as they use their own phones to track users

We do use traffic information (when enabled) to determine the fastest route. We however do not actively suggest (faster) alternatives while driving. That is simply a design choice for now and we do have it on our backlog.

Regarding routes with waypoints, traffic is barely a factor as distance between waypoints is often not large enough for congestions to cause a different route than planned. When driving pre planned routes, with waypoints, staying on the planned route has a much higher preference than saving a minute or two.

TomTom GO app is also a good alternative.
Tomtom use traffic info when starting a route and while riding. You do not notice this most of the time but it works.

MRA Routeplanneer works very nice with TomTom GO. You can create a route on TomTom's own map.
