Map Overlays
-
I'm new here so forgive me if I'm being stupid. I have subscribed to the gold package, but when I create a new route, at the start I get the message "only Here and Tom tom maps are available in this mode". How do I get to the google map overlay?
-
@Gordon-Scott Click on the box with the three squares (right upper corner). There you will find the choice for several overlays.

@Gordon-Scott what "mode" are you in? For planning purposes, you should use Tomtom if you export to a Tomtom device. Use Here for all others. MyRoute-app and Garmin both use Here for navigation. Map overlays do not change the routing algorithms. They simply show different map overlays.

Thanks Guys - I found it - I'm on a Mac and I found it in the layers icon. Cheers

@Jack-van-Tilburg your tool bar looks different, mine just says page menu? Have you altered anything,
-
@Ck-Hos That's due to your screen resolution or zoom factor.
-
@Ck-Hos Perhaps no paid subscription?
-
@Rob-Veerman it’s a paid gold subscription running on a MacBook Air
-
@Gordon-Scott okay, I use an old MacBook 12".
Try using the 'command +' or 'command -' button to change how much info is displayed on the screen. -
@Rob-Veerman We are Gold don't know if it makes a difference?
-
@Ck-Hos
No, the subscription form has no influence on this because you determine the screen resolution on your computer.
Keep in mind that changing the resolution can affect the size of the map you see on the screen.
Try it. You can't break anything.
