Hi, every time I open the navigation app routes it shuts down and says there is a bug. Samsung a53, I use an old i phone for the navigation but would like to be able to open the routes on this phone also, the phone says there is a bug and reload after update It's ok with MRA, just the navigation app! .... help!

same here with a samsung S22

@simon-Watson Are you trying to use the old navigation app that looks like this:

@simon-Watson said in Navigation app bug, app shuts down (android):
I open the navigation app
@Nick-Carthew asked you already, but your like of questioning screams the fact that you're using the old nav app which is indeed a standalone app.
This old app has unofficially been discontinued after July 2023. All Navigation functionality is built into the new "MyRoute-App" app you can download from the app/play store.
I'm wondering though, have you been still using that old app this entire season? Gosh, you missed out on some great features and development dude.
For Google: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cloudmax.myrouteapp
And check out this website: https://mranavigationnext.app/startinfo/

Good to know, I run into the same problem on my Samsung XCover 4S since some months: each time after Navigaton App crashed (doesn't end, just is dropped from the screen into the backgrouund back to the main menu), I used MyrouteApp - as you recommended in your post.
As I (and maybe others) thought, the crash resulted from some Samsung update), wouldn't it be helpful to release an update of the Navigation Up just with a message "App discontinued, use MyrouteApp" for all those that run into the same problem ?

@Achim-Haag There has been lots of information for months explaining the change over. Notifications in the routeplanner, emails to all customers, social media and within this forum. I donโt think MRA could have done anymore!

Except for the suggested update of the old app

@Con-Hennekens Like the phoenix rising from the ashes
-
@Nick-Carthew, Haha! I don't know about a phoenix, but the IDE would likely be needed to be risen from the ashes indeed
-
@Con-Hennekens wonโt happen - app is completely removed from sale and not downloadable to any new users.

@Corjan-Meijerink, It's not about new users, it's about existing ones. But I take it that the options to make this little change are depleted.
