@Eric-Minschart Not any time soon! It would however still be the same device as the available BarButtons only with some custom branding / different pricing

We are waiting for some new BarButtons prototypes and then might reconsider it.

Maybe this is more something for the person behind barbutton to explore, but this user community could come up with some very useful features like a:

• "help, i need fuel now" button leading immediately to the nearest petrol station , and then back to the route

• "zoom to a square of 1 by 1 km and remove anything else from the screen for as long as i keep this button pushed, "

The risk is that we would end up with a 100+ button keyboard but that could be solved by configuration?

In general, tinkering with a keyboard is not a safe option while driving, so to limit the time spent on it I would be interested in complex functions for this barbutton thing that go beyond excecuting basic instructions one by one, and this brings me back to the "speed screen" that I suggested some time ago.

ich habe auch eine Anfrage an Joost gestellt, aber es stellt sich jetzt doch noch folgende Frage der Kopplung an zwei Geräte gleichzeitig.

Mir stellt sich die Frage der Bluetooth Kopplung des IPhone Xr mit MyRoute-App, mit der Kopplung zum TFT an der GS, geht denn dann auch gleichzeitig die Kopplung mit dem BarButtons System ?

• Handy IPhone Xr 17.0.2
• BarButtons Tasten von Joost

Ich möchte die MyRoute-App Ansagen über mein Headset hören das ist mit dem TFT gekoppelt und gleichzeitig ja das Handy mit dem TFT das geht mittlerweile sehr gut.

Geht dann zusätzlich das System BarButtons und alles zusammen funktioniert dann auch ?

@Hubert-Thoring, your phone can handle multiple BT connections simultaneously, no problem. The BarButtons will only connect to one device at a time. So you can use BB on your phone while also having a headset connected and your TFT screen. You can however only use th BB for handling your phone.

@Corjan-Meijerink Hoi Corjan ik probeer het een beetje te volgen de BarButtons en heb er wel interesse in, maar in de shop van MRA kom ik deze niet tegen om eventueel te bestellen, en ik zie dat er kleine problemen zijn, moet je een techneut zijn om het werkend te krijgen of valt het mee, en waar kun je meer informatie hierover krijgen binnen de MRA-platform

Je hebt een duurdere die in elkaar is gezet, of een goedkopere dat je zelf de onderdelen kunt printen.

De lage prijs maakt het aantrekkelijk, is betrekkelijk zonder problemen maar er zit geen bedrijf of uitgebreide support achter.

De andere controllers (zoals ook in de app staan vermeld) zijn allemaal duurder en dat heeft dan ook weer voordelen die daar aan hangen.

Ik zou bij interesse vooral gewoon die BarButtons aanschaffen voor de lage prijs en bekijken of zo’n systeem bevalt

@G-Grote-Ganseij ja klopt! Dat zou op basis van de BarButtons zijn. Dat idee is voor in de ijskast.

De verwachtingen lagen er hoog bij de doelgroep voor een vrij lage prijs wat hem niet ging worden op dit moment.

@Corjan-Meijerink Oké duidelijk, ga ik mij er in verdiepen wat je nodig bent en hoe het werkt en dan bestellen, de updates waar over gesproken wordt die staan op de site van barbuttons en je moet de laatste update altijd gebruiken

@G-Grote-Ganseij, het is echt niet heel ingewikkeld. Als je een soldeerbout kunt hanteren kun je ook die barbuttons maken. Op de website (zie link van Corjan) staat een bijzonder heldere handleiding. Als je via die website de onderdelen besteld, is de Arduino ook al voorzien van de juiste firmware en hoef je die dus niet zelf te laden.

Eerlijk is eerlijk, ik heb hem zelf gebouwd omdat ik het een ontzettend leuk project vind. Toepasbaarheid voor normale weg-navigatie is eigenlijk gering. Het heeft meer waarde voor als je graag offroad rijdt.
