Problem using Android Auto on Pioneer Head unit

I have a Pioneer head unit in my motorhome, using my Samsung S22 phone, I put a route in MRA plugged the AA unit into USB it worked, but then would not load a new route on the next trip, it seems to have stuck on the first trip and is frozen, whatever I do on the phone it is still frozen. switched to Google maps it is working OK.
The app on my phone is working OK when I use it on Bluetooth connected sound only devices it is just Android Auto USB connected.
