The skip function is not available at the last route point in a route (see picture). This can be easily fixed with an additional route point, I know, but I wanted to report it anyway.

Skipping the last point is indeed technically impossible.
But you can put an extra point just before the last point, right?

@Martin-Wilcke Using the shortest route option can sometimes force the HERE algorithm to use the ferry.

It depends on what "skipping" means. As I understand it, skip is used in MRA to create a direct connection (without routing) between two route points.
Why shouldn't that work for connecting the last two points in a route?

But you can put an extra point just before the last point, right?

              Yes, of course.

Yes, but what you experience is that it will literally skip the last point. And you can't.
Very occasionally you have to work around the technique. 😀

                  Right, good hint!
But it affects the whole route, which I don't want.
A solution would be to be able to use the "offroad" option specifically for individual sections.

But as @Jack-van-Tilburg writes: sometimes you have to use a workaround - and that's absolutely ok.

I just discovered that exactly this function already exists - but unfortunately only with OSM as routing engine.

Not trhough... Also within the Here and TomTom map (those two maps are gold feature).

@Martin-Wilcke Segments is something else then skip the waypoint at the other side of the river. Segments is only availible in the OSM-map. That's right.

                            So it is.
Even though the features "skip RP" and "offroad segment" behave similarly, they seem to be designed/implemented differently.
But what exactly does "skip" mean? It is not "ignore", because the RP is still part of the route. Obviously, only the calculation towards this point is not carried out, but it is simply connected by a direct line.
But there must be another aspect that prevents the last RP from being skipped.
