Suggestion: Compass button
-
An ideal addition would be to have a 'compass' button so you can turn the North on top when zooming out. This way it makes orientation much easier when you want to see the whole route at once.

@Johnny-Kerkhofs Because the new MRA Mobile app has a compass button, I would expect MRA Navigation Next to have this option too.
-
That is indeed the case!

@Corjan-Meijerink I can read you like a book

@Nick-Carthew
@Corjan-Meijerink
I have downloaded 3.2.2 - 131 on Android but I do not see a Compass Button???
Am I missing something? -
@Steve-Lynch Use two fingers to twist the map and then hey presto a button appears
-
@Nick-Carthew
Got it.
Thanks Nick. -
@Steve-Lynch Fun to know you downloaded the public beta, 3.2.2 isn’t officially released yet. The compass in hidden when the map is pointing north, we don’t want to clutter the screen
-
@Corjan-Meijerink, Oehh, I applied for the Beta in the Playstore immediately too...
-
I've been on the Beta since it appeared some time ago.
I am looking forward to the first Beta of MRA Navigation Next.

I am looking forward to the first Beta of MRA Navigation Next.Considering that Next will be implemented inside the Mobile app, I am expecting for Next to appear in the Mobile Beta. That's why I downloaded that. @Corjan-Meijerink, is my assumption correct?
-
@Con-Hennekens Possibly! Not entirely sure yet.
The exact reason is a bit complicated and explaining it here will only cause confusion But regardless, you will get access to the test version!Using the public beta from the Play Store does give you nice early access to the new MRA Mobile features.
Speaking of... @Con-Hennekens @Steve-Lynch The newest should be available tonight! A new version is now available. If you have downloaded offline items, the app might not boot. In that case a reinstall is required. I would therefore recommend removing all offline available items (from the menu there) before updating. No, this won’t be an issue for the real update. It’s just a minor inconvenience for some test builds.
-
MyRoute-App Mobile 3.2.2 -132 is available now for Android but not iOS yet.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink, Yes I had to reinstall indeed, I got a blank white screen. The app had been updated automatically. Whats New?
-
@Con-Hennekens General improvements to the test version to make it perfect for release
It is a quite complex update that required some more testing and changes. Sharing files from the app, downloading files (+ routes / tracks) and importing them should now work well and all as expected.
The update includes quite some low level OS specific changes that require good testing and preferably using official test builds. That's why you get a bit more test versions than normally expected.
@Con-Hennekens @Steve-Lynch Now that I know that you are testing Android (and iOS?) please let me know if the version that becomes available tonight is working correct. You can always send me a personal message on the forum too. You should be able to open GPX files with the MRA app now Feel free to play around a bit!
