@Marcel-4n, ze opzoeken zal hij niet doen maar als ze niet als verboden op de kaart staan zullen ze ook niet vermeden worden. Als ik alleen rij laat ik me daar overigens weinig aan gelegen liggen (foei!) maar met groepen is dat natuurlijk heel vervelend.

@Corjan-Meijerink Out with my partner yesterday in the car, she was driving, I tried again and voice instructions worked perfectly for the entire route. It even mentioned a landmark educational establishment in one of the turn instructions, this was passed after the turn. Particularly impressed with that. If I had managed more on-bike experimentation I would be considering removing my Garmin and just rely on the phone for this week's trip to Germany... Alas, that's not the case as work and life have prevented that.

@Corjan-Meijerink I thought I understood that the Compass icon had a dual function: to center the view and switch between 2D and 3D modes (in addition to showing the route by long-pressing). To my surprise, if I long-press and then zoom on that view, when I subsequently tap on the Compass, in my opinion, it doesn't center the view properly in 2D. But it's just a minor detail of my own appreciation without much importance.

@Corjan-Meijerink Taking advantage of the opportunity of a long morning journey, I conducted several tests, and it hasn't failed again. It was possibly just an isolated incident yesterday.

@Corjan-Meijerink Not your fault as this does appear to be an Android specific issue. The difference is very obvious when you put the 2 systems running next to each other. I am sure HERE will help. May be worth reaching out to Google as well as I read a number of reports that suggested Google may be aware of GPS-specific bugs. That said, I have not had any experience of Google from a dev perspective. Nonetheless, the app is superb and, for me, I am still using the app for my travels.

@Dikke-Wim dit werd nogal gesignaleerd, maar omdat het geen consequent probleem is kan het moeilijk nagebootst worden… en is het nog veel moeilijker om op te lossen. Ikzelf heb het bv. nog nooit gehad…

@Gos-Kuus AppleCarplay en AndroidAuto staan nog in de steigers en bieden nu niet veel meer dan "mirroring" van een gedeelte van wat je in de app op je telefoon ziet. Er wordt nog hard gewerkt aan de stabiliteit. Na de release hopen wij ook dat er snel meer wordt uitgerold.

@Con-Hennekens the first was WP2, message came up saying WP2 had been skipped before I got there. Perhaps that had something to do with it.

@Jon-Edwards, What navigation did you use before Next? The Old navigation app also used Here maps. To convert routes from OSM to HERE it is best to copy them, then load the original route into the copy so you can simply shape the copy-route to the underlying OSM route.

@Mario-Ivancic, A freedrive mode is on the list of good ideas already. But if ever, it will be based on the (here) navigation engine and not on the mainscreen map (OSM). It will not be ready for release date, it will be a function that might get added later. Many countries have their own "best radar app" and they are all different. And they probably all want your money if you want to embed it in another software. So it is a difficult thing. Nice idea, but with limited value. Most route planners plan their routes weeks before they actually are driven. Weather forecasts a quite meaningless in that stage. It might be better to have it in the app instead of the planner. So you can check your route for rain on the day that you want to go for a ride. This will most likely be "smoothened" before release.
