The best way is to export the track to your NAV and convert the track to a route at tour device. You can get information about this at: FAQ - Straight lines in Garmin and BMW Navigator (click)

@Canisius Well, gold is indeed not mandatory but it makes life much easier for reasons stated below... In order to make sure your planned route in the online MRA Routeplanner (or app for that matter) is 'usable' in MRA Navigation, you shall review your route in the in-built route-editor in the MRA Navigation app to verify the placement of waypoints (and ofcourse the correct route calculation itself). Without a gold account you cannot plan routes (in the online MRA Routeplanner) in the Here map which is used in MRA Navigation. You shall tweak and/or fine tune the route in the in-built route-editor to make the route final as it calculates the route in the Here map, which you were not able to do before due to your basic account. This process is a real pain and very much user unfriendly, but it is do-able. For now this is the only way to make sure your OSM planned route is correct for use in MRA Navigation... I believe that editing the route in the in-built route editor also changes via points back to shaping points (BUG) and I also believe that skipped/offroad waypoints are set back to normal waypoints as well by the in-built editor (BUG).

Not a feature I feel a need for, to be honest. I use various items, at various times, running concurrently with Navigation and my phone never runs low. In fact, it’s normally fully charged at the end of anything but shorter rides. I’d much rather see all available resources being directed to making getting the basics right what we have already more reliable. @Spili Could you have a phone battery issue, perhaps?

Hello @RonL , Would you mind sharing some print-screens and pictures of what's happening along with the link of your route (make sure it's public).

Hi @Björn-Lind, It is best to save your created routes as .gpx 1.1 (Track and POI) and place them on your Montana in the appropriate folder, or export them via the connector as .gpx 1.1 (Route, Track and POI). Make sure you only use the track. (So delete the route from your Montana!). Also start your route name with the date when you want to drive, for example 0810 To..., this because MRA also prefixes the track with the track, and you therefore get this name: Track 0810 To.. Because the screen is not so wide, you might be selecting the wrong one. (I also do this with my Edge 1030)

That’s as in: [image: 1627749655330-493b95dd-4131-4fcc-a002-85a5a4e90485.jpeg] [image: 1627749669971-ef497ccc-0e46-497c-ae43-1d7b961d7ea3.jpeg] For anyone else who might have missed this. Not altogether ‘intuitive’ but, once pointed out, it’s something I’ll work with very happily indeed. My interpretation of the UI was that selecting the move icon rendered the waypoint moveable by ‘picking it up’ and moving/placing it by hand (well, finger!).

@David-Bonner yes, I have noticed that too! I use an iPhone 7 Plus with iOS version 14.7.1 and also the latest MRA Navigation version. Skipping waypoints is really dangerous while driving. A button for skipping a waypoint on the main screen is a good solution! Furthermore, I noticed that the MRA NAV version from last year worked better: the automatic skipping of waypoints and the scale/display when showing the map. It also seems that the route calculation algorithm has been revised. The routes from the MRA Routeplanner were taken pretty much one to one in the "old" MRA NAV version, but in the new MRA NAV version there are some deviations that can certainly be prevented by setting waypoints, but setting a lot of waypoints is not a good solution either... Otherwise, I like to use MRA Navigation for my tours and am eagerly awaiting the new version! Peter
