Ran into an interesting issue. This road in the Here map shows as broken in the web. It's ok in TomTom and OSM. I went to report the error to Here but it appears fine in Here.com. To make sure I followed the proper route I created a waypoint and entered "Turn left here" as the text.
When I checked the app it shows the road properly connected!! I think I last downloaded maps about 2 weeks ago.
