CarPlay: Feeding next direction to car’s system

I drive a Porsche Taycan and use MyRouteApp with CarPlay. I notice that in both Google Maps and Apple Maps, the CarPlay app is notifying the car about the next turn and direction (eg continue for 15km; or in 150m, right turn). The car displays that on the main binnacle/display, in front of the driver — in addition to the regular CarPlay display on its own window. (I don’t have it, but I’m guessing that for cars with the Heads Up Display option the next turn appears there too.)
However MyRouteApp does not use this feature. We only get the regular CarPlay screen and the binnacle display remains unused.
Is there a simple API that MyRouteApp could utilise to provide this information to the car for display the way the other apps do? It is a very helpful display.
