New update! (4.4.1)

I would suggest trying to remove the app and reinstall it first !
-
Can I ask how you update the app. I have looked through but cannot find a software update button?

@Adrian-Avram, indeed. But clearing cache and storage (on Android anyways) usually leads to the same result.
@Justin-Moreman, the app store of your phone handles that.

Hey, just for your information,
The iPhone XR's battery consumption throughout the day with three apps is perfect, including breaks where the apps weren't turned off.Charging was done with inductive charging in the cradle...

Hi everyone!

It has been 2 months since the last update. Now that the season is ending it's a nice moment to release a minor update. We are very happy with how the app (and the MyRoute-app platform in general) was a part of a lot of your adventures.
This update will be available in coming days.
Language updates
Thanks to @Chudy and @Krzysztofa our app now supports the Polish language!
This is only the app, not the website. So if your app is in Polish, the website will probably be English (or whatever you selected).Android language select
Since day one you could already select a different app language in iOS when accessing the iOS app settings. Now that's possible for Android too!
Especially useful now we have Polish translations.Note: only Android 13 and higher
iOS GPX import issue
Since an update from iOS the GPX import function of the app was broken
That's fixed again! You can now open any GPX file sent to you with our app again.Recalculation improvements
Tweaking the recalculation behavior of the app is quite complex due to the vast variety of situations. Over the holiday season we received quite some reports that the app would excessively skip waypoints. In this version we deployed a new version of the waypoint skip algorithm.Besides that we resolved an issue where sometimes recalculations in track navigation could get stuck.
What's next?
We are working on a major overhaul of the UI / UX of the app. We hope to start beta testing early September and aim for release in October!
Cheers,
Corjan@Corjan-Meijerink Hello Corjan,
we want to go on another tour in Spain at the beginning of November.I would be interested to know whether the new update, which is due to be released in about two weeks, will fix the problem with the Silverfox C1 controller?
(The controller only works when the app is set to English.)I would appreciate your answer.
Best regards

Peter@Peter-Zehentreiter I don’t expect it to.
In all honesty my perspective of this issue is that it’s Silverfox firmware related. Or at least, the fix needs to originate from them.
We don’t do anything language based regarding these commands. We just receive keyboard commands and apparently in other languages the firmware from SilverFox sends incorrect ones?
Absolutely not pointing fingers but I would not even know where to start in solving the issue.
When using English language setting our app works correctly (as you indicated) because then (apparently) all correct keycodes are sent by the SilverFox firmware. -

You're the professional, I'm the layman, so I should believe what you write...
Nevertheless, I find it hard to imagine that the fault lies solely with Silverfox.
The controller worked perfectly at first, but after about two months, the fault suddenly occurred, without any changes being made to the controller but changes were made to the App!
At the beginning of your post, you wrote the following:https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/9882/new-update-4.4.1

As a layman, I understand this as follows:
The Android app now also has the option to set the language, which was not possible before, but this feature is only available on Android 13 and higher.I already mentioned in an email to you that I also have an old Android 12 device and the C1 controller works perfectly on it in German. (There is no option to change the language in the App)
As already mentioned, I'm just the user, but for someone who thinks logically, there must be a connection here.
If the error were exclusive to Silverfox, then the C1 controller should not work at all with the MRA App in German.
How can you explain, that the controller with the identical app version works on Android 12 but not on Android 14/15/16?
I´m curios to read your answer.

@Peter-Zehentreiter, check this website, on your phone, connected with your Silverfox, to see if it sends different keys when set for German or English.
https://jaxeadv.com/barbuttons/keypress-tester/
I find that hard to believe too, unless yo are using some key-mapping app on your phone that interferes with what the Silverfox sends.

@Con-Hennekens Hello Con,
thank you very much for trying to help here.I have already read out the commands several times and also sent them to Corjan months ago.
‘I had already opened a ticket.’
We even started an email conversation between me, Corjan and Riku from Silverfox. Here's the story in brief again.
I bought the controller, installed it, and everything worked fine. After about two months, I suddenly encountered an error that prevented me from zooming out.
I contacted Silverfox and described the problem. Silverfox sent me new firmware, but even with this new firmware, zooming out still didn't work.
Silverfox then sent me a completely new controller (tested by Silverfox on site in Finland and confirmed that all functions are working properly).
Even with this new controller, the error remained.
Riku then sent me an email suggesting that I should try to set the app to English, and immediately the zoom function worked again.
Until then, I still believed that the error could be with Silverfox, as Corjan was more or less certain that the error was not with MRA.By chance, I connected an old device (Android 12) to the controller and it worked immediately, so I became suspicious and figured out that the update add language settings to Android could cause the error.
But you asked me to read the commands, what I did.

Very briefly, I just have to add this here: a bug with Remotek One and the MRA up to MRA V3.x suddenly disappeared with the update to MRA V4.0.x. The Remotek One still has its old H&S version.
For a long time, I had a problem where, on an iPhone Xr with the keyboard control set to On, the MRA V3.x would crash outside of the navigation. So I always had to set it to Off, which unfortunately made some Remotek One functions unavailable. With the MRA update to MRA V4.0, I can now use everything because, with the iPhone keyboard control set to On, it no longer crashes. I'm happy with it, thanks for that!
From this, I conclude it was ultimately a button that was incorrectly positioned in the MRA... or rather, there were iOS updates at the time... as far as I know, it wasn't Remotek One's fault (Dag Jenssen).
Maybe it's just a matter of time until it resolves itself, like in my case! I'm glad it's resolved and hope it stays that way, because it was a real pain in the ass.
Thanks to everyone.
Vielen Dank an alle.
