Routeplanner options - twisty and height - where have they gone?
-
Hi,
When planning a route, there used to be options to select quick/winding/twisty roads and low/medium/large height variations. These seem to have disappeared. Why?
Thanks -

Thanks@iain.gardengmail.com if you have selected in options map algorithm:
- "Standard (OpenStreetMap)" - then you can select in options / toolkit / curvy: low or mid or high
- "TomTom" - then you can select in options / route optimation: quickest or shortest, and in "hight": low or mid or high, and in
"curvy": low or mid or high - "HERE" - then you can not select such options
All only, if you are "gold" member

@Guzzist Thanks.
I am a gold Member and have selected Standard OpenStreetMap. The twisty / height options do not appear any longer. Out of interest, where do you select the OpenStreetMap option? -
You select the OpenStreetMap at A
B shows the curvy route options, height options are only part of TomTom map.
Don't use C to select a calculation map, The maps there are just overlays. -
Thanks, Con.
But what happened to the height and curve options when creating a route in the route lab? I used to select them all the time when planning a multi-day holiday, but those options appear no longer to be offered to you.
Also, I used to plan with the Here/MRA option, as I navigate with MRA on my trips. Should i plan in Tom Tom and then, when finished, convert to Here/MRA?

@iain.gardengmail.com, This is in routelab
.
You are probably referring to the roundtrip generator? Yes indeed, those options have been removed and automated. It still gives great (and even better than before!) routes, doesn't it? -
When planning with Here, you have the option of choosing the fastest route or the shortest route.
However, this is only available in car mode!
This option is not available in motorcycle mode.
The shortest route is often an interesting choice, but it needs to be adjusted considerably. Then it becomes a beautiful route.
