different results with different phones!

Hello, I have been using MRA route planner for a few months now, I am a gold life member. I have got great results from sending emails to the main office for answers. I recently was told I should be using the "Here" map. I was wondering can anyone explain what the difference in Google/Here/Tom Tom maps are? I have searched thru and I do see small differences in the toolkit. Is that the only difference? Is one better than the other? I am using an Android phone that Bluetooths to my Soundstream radio on my motorcycle. the other problem I am having, She has iPhone, I have Android. she sits on the back and looks at her phone and they DO NOT display the same route. why would this be. I see the Android on my bike screen, and she will say mine (iPhone) said turn that way, while my Android says go straight. We have been in the phones and compared settings, all setting in the phone are the same. Any suggestions? we use same log in, same route...

First of all, MRTA does not use Google Maps as 1 of the 3 main maps to use. MRA uses the following (standard) maps:
- OpenStreetMap (short OSM), also the standard map for the basic account;
- HERE map (recommended for Garmin users), standard map for the MRA Next app and in the online webbased router only available for Silver/Gold members;
- TomTom map (recommended for TomTom users), in the online webbased router only available for Silver/Gold members;
It is difficult to say which is better and which is poorer. It depents also on what kind of (navigation) platform you are using your route. As example, my standard map is HERE. This is because i have a Garmin Zumo XT (for my BMW bike) and the MRA Next app (for usage on my Kawasaki bike). I find HERE good enough for creating/plotting/planning routes. Others might find HERE a map with certain shortcomings and prefer OSM.
But best is to stick to this thumbrule:
Garmin device : HERE
TomTom device : TomTom
General usage: OSM
Basic user : OSMWith she you mean your wife? Does she has recalculate turned on? I don't have an iPhone, i'm using android so i have no clue.
Check if the settings you're having on your android phone is matching her settings. If not, changes her settings knowing that you follow the route correctly.

If you are using MRA Navigation Next (the MRA app) to navigate your route, it is only logical to plan your routes on the HERE map, since that is the map Navigation uses. If you are on the same bike, and the route goes different ways, just check the Waypoint til in the upper right corner, if they are still going to the same waypoint. Decisions on which waypoint to auto-skip to often have very little margins, so they can sometimes come out different, even when on the same bike.
