Updated beta! v4.3.0 - 330 (project sync)
-
Hi all!
Just a quick updated beta and this by itself could be another release
What's new?
- Added another map edition: topographic
- Allow showing elevation differences in map (only for explore & topographic)
- Change width / opacity of the displayed lines
- Change scaling of POI icons shown on the map
- Larger range of allowed zoom / tilt adjustments
- Added info boxes to more complicated settings
- GPX imports can now be uploaded to MRA directly. Just open a GPX file with our app and be amazed
- Textual improvements
- Fixed bug causing some users not being able to search
- Resolved any issues I mentioned in forum threads but already forgot about
Elevation difference? Is that noticeable?
Oh hell yeah! (old / 3d / 2d). I mean, just look at it
Have a great weekend. This version is aimed for release after the weekend.
Looking forward to your feedbackCheers,
Corjan -
That is too quick, I can not follow all these updates.
I used Carplay today in my car, and it all works fine, and the new look is great. I love it. Well done "MRA Team" good job! And the news today are welcome also.
iOS Update available already.
-
Whoa - Slow down, it’s hard to keep up with all of these gifts
Great work #TeamMRA -
This post is deleted! -
Yay, i grabbed the IOS update already
-
Awesome job from the team. Really like the additional changes. Time to test.

Tried to download a route to a GPX 1.1 and it appears to stall. Just get a spinning icon that goes no where else:
I then get this but I have internet connection on WiFi:

@Corjan-Meijerink : It's just wonderful, you're great, with kind regards on the way!!
Towards the sun and Slovenia...

Nice those new features.
Some are very welcome. But it would be more nice if a lot of development time would be adressed to bug fixes and stability issues.
Despite of the nice comments. The app is simple not stable enough and contains to many bugs -

The app is simple not stable enough and contains to many bugsI can not confirm this, it is running for me an Android and iOS very good, may be on hiccup per week, for peanuts.
It is may be related to your setup or other Apps running.
-
@Jörgen I agree. My experience has been good and I have been pleased with the stability of the beta. There are a few odd hiccups with the beta as you would expect and these are resolved quickly.
For me, I welcome the new additions as they have been long standing user requests.

- How about Autoskip which does not work as it should be. It does not skip shapingpoint which you have missed or it skipped shapingpoints which you have not reached yet.
- How about jumping autozoom levels functionality on AA
- How about jojo-in routeline on AA
- How about the inablity to change anything or make a choice on your phone when connected to AA. The apps crashes most of the time in this situation and not easy to recover.
- How about not pickup the route properly after deviation
This is simple basic functionality.
This a short list from things i can remember out of the blue.

How about Autoskip which does not work as it should be. It does not skip shapingpoint which you have missed or it skipped shapingpoints which you have not reached yet. (I don´t use Autoskip, it is switched off, I use manual skip, when needed)
How about jumping autozoom levels functionality on AA (I use Carplay)
How about jojo-in routeline on AA (I use Carplay)
How about the inablity to change anything or make a choice on your phone when connected to AA. The apps crashes most of the time in this situation and not easy to recover. (I use Carplay with no issues)
How about not pickup the route properly after deviation (This is only related to tracks made with A-B routing with curvy roads. I use 99% planned routes, so also no big issue for me)So, yes I understand now your problems.

I also ride planned routes only.
I had it a few weeks ago. The route on Here Maps went over a stretch of road which isn't there anymore (roadworks were done 2016).
I took the new actual road and a bit further (1 kilometer) the actual road and the route came back together. From here MRA went haywire. I keeps sending me back. I missed two shapingpoints and have autoskip enabled. A few kilometers further all audio from MRA was gone also.
This was just 10 min after we left from the starting point.I tried to restart the route. But this also a hassle. Because the phone was still connected to AA. The apps does not respond properly. And get it back into AA isn't easy also when the app does not respond proper.
So i killed the MRA App and start TomTom Go, select the route and had a pleasant day. No issues, nothing. -
Question. Can I also use an Android tablet with my Lifetim account for MRA ana Next or must I buy the those app from the AA Store again? Then another 200€ for Lifetime would be too expensive.
MRA works on Android and IOS with same account. download app en login in MRA Next app.... only can be that your beta is only on IOS and then you have to ask it also for android.

Here is a small note on the subject of group exchange.
A simple return to the group overview would be nice hier -> Kick

Hi Corjan,
I’m really happy with the new update and I wanted to let you know how impressed I am with all the work you put in to keep adding new features. Truly amazing!
I just returned from an incredible 5000 km ride in and to Norway, all completed flawlessly with my MRA. The route was breathtaking, and MRA performed perfectly!
Thanks again, fantastic work!

Tested the latest beta extensively today. Always didn't start up well after a break (see photo). Also, the sound of the instructions sometimes got in a hurry, fast or was not complete (the first part fell away).
