Alert Speed Camera

Hi,
an information on the speed camera warning sound. it's possible to change it because it is too short and is often not emitted. I didn't find the possibility to do this in the app settings. Thank you

Please provide more and relevant information. Are you using a dedicated navigation system such as a TomTom opr A garmin (specify brand and model) or are you using the MRA Next navigation app on your mobile phone (please specify brand/model of mobile phone)?

It is not that we don't understand your question, but without any additional information we cannot help you correctly.

@gp-fiorentino No, that's not possible. You will have to do it with the sound the app provides when approaching a speed camera, assuming you are navigating with MRA itself!

@Nomko-Nomden I apologize but I thought it was understood that I was referring to the MRA Navigation app. I realized that it is not possible, perhaps the whole section should be implemented to customize sounds and alerts just like the other navigators

There might be a very suitable and plausible reason why MRA does not support in-app alerts for speed cameras and such.

Some countries allow the usage of such alerts and/or notifications but there are also a considerable amount of countries who, by law, forbid road users to even use any system which are capable to provide such alerts and/or notifications.

I think to avoid any actions which could be against the law of a certain country, that MRA has decided not to add such options.

For example, in The Netherlands (my country) it is alowed to use apps/tools which provide an alert or notification at speed camera locations. But in Germany as example, apps who warn you for speed cameras are forbidden. In fact, even systems on which you can install such apps are forbidden! The same rules apply in Switzerland as in Germany! Is your mobile phone or navigation system checked for this by police officers? Most probably not. If so, then they have to check every car and motorbike!

The request to make the sound more audible has already passed by several times. I disabled the feature complete because I don't hear it either and use the app Flitsmeister as an alternative in the background. FM also indicate the speed cameras in countries where this is not permitted by law. If I am stopped by the police I will quickly remove the app
