@Grizzly gps (commonly called Location) is a phone function that works virtually everywhere regardless of borders.
GPS systems normally use downloaded maps to navigate. Standalone systems such as Tomtom and Garmin require that you download maps to use the system. Phone based systems such as MRA Next Navigation, MyRoute-app, have the ability to use on-line maps. The drawback is that you need a good data connection at all times or the navigation will fail. MRA gives you the ability to download maps for the regions you are traveling through. When you download maps then the downloaded maps are used rather than online maps. This reduces your requirement for cellular data. You can also download routes to the download folder in MyRouteApp. If you have downloaded maps and downloaded routes then you don't need a cellular data service at all. Just turn on the option for Offline operation in the MyRoute-app settings and your good to go.
