Problem displaying additional routes (no merging)
-
Hello;
I try to add an additional route to a main route only for display purposes.
I try the procedure described in using the "Add" button:
https://myrouteapp.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000098181-manual-display-and-merge-multiple-routes-When I add the additional route to be displayed mixed with the main route it appears correctly displayed.
But when I close the main route and reopen the main route the additional route is gone.
Am I doing something wrong?
Regards.

@Oriol-López-Massaguer-0 No, you're not doing anything wrong. You have to add that route again each time. After adding a route, for example, for comparison purposes, the added route is not saved.

@Rob-Verhoeff
Hi Rob, that is not correct, if I add an additional route to an existing route and use the add e.g. at the end function, the new route waypoints will be seen at the waypoint list and will be available after a new opening. Otherwise, the ADD option would not make sense. -
No @Jörgen, the topic title says "no merging"... So if you add a route, only to be displayed underneath the main route, it will get lost once you close the route. Even worse: it wil get lost even when you switch maps...

Hi All.
New user here, I read this thread with interest because it is close to an feature issue I have been pondering.
Can we add an alternate, or optional route to a main route? It seems like an obvious feature to have in a routing app.
Is this possible within MyRoute-app?
Thanks

@Steve-Miller-3
Hoe do we like to understand your question in consequence?
Normally you can create numbers of routes in your library.But for the routing itself you can use only one.
You may can combine, merge routes in the planning phase, but this need a new calculation and route name.
Here pay attention, MRA change and store every existing route in your library when you manage something direct. MRA has no option „save as“ with a ne name.
If you want to work with an existing route, first make a copy, then change the name of the copy and the open this file again and use it.On the road while routing use or add an optional route sometimes in between can not work.
Simple reason, your real position is the starting point then and adding another route will bring your actual calculation to a nightmare of restoring.
Adding a few waypoint is no problem, but adding a complete route of perhaps 15-30 Wp or more is another story. -
@Steve-Miller-3, I don't know if it's a obvious feature. Are there any other planners that already offer such a thing?
What I do often, is adding waypoint information to a specific WP saying something like "If it is after 4 o'clock, better skip to WP 37 to save 45 minutes."
