        @roland-reay

        In my opinion a Route with Waypoints (Shaping and Via) is the way to go.
        A Track has limited appeal for me.
        My preferred road types are the twisty country lanes (The ones with a bit of grass/moss in the middle.)
        I try to string as many of these together as possible but inevitibly I have to endure some major roads along the way.
        To negate the chance of the algorythm making choices for me I put at least one waypoint on every road I plan to ride on.
        I also use Street View a lot in the planning stage and actively check for Closed Roads using Traffic (Gold).
        I also plan Fuel Stops in advance based on wether im useing the 1200 Tiger Rally Pro or the Tenere 700 (16 Litres EEK!).

        You don’t stop riding when you get old, you get old when you stop riding.

            @roland-reay Depending what navi you use. When you use a garmin I would prefer to load the track on it. Then let the garmin make a route of you're track. You can then load the route that is the same as the track. You also can load the track and make it visible and then follow the track which doesn't change and with no point to point navigation.
