10 day test
-
Hi, i have just returned to the UK following a 10 day trip around the Picos and into Portugal. I very carefully planned each day and I am very pleased with how both the planning software and the Navigation app have worked. I only experienced a few small problems, most of my own doing
- The known issue of wrong instructions at roundabouts. I got used to ingnoring the instructions and checking the screen to such an extent that I think but I'm unsure that it worked correctly in Portugal. I could have imagined this!
- It rained a lot, which gave me problems with water in my iPhone. I think a Chigee might be coming my way.
- The opposite to a problem - When in the mountains, off line navigation worked perfectly.
- A few times the screen froze or the "you are here" arrow disappeared. I found that if i went into "settings" and then exited settings, all was corrected.
- I was cursing getting no verbal instructions one day until I found out my fat fingers had turned them off.
I spent a lot of time planning and putting in pre-waypoints with text saying things like "viewpoint coming up in one kilometer" or " take the slip road ahead for fuel or continue if not needed". My riding buddies were mystified as to how I knew this!
Overall very pleased

@Stephen-Rowland Great to hear positive feedback, proving that time spent in the planning seat is time gained when on the road.
