Updated beta v4.1.0 (284)
-
Hello beloved beta community!
Thanks for all your testing.
I believe that the results are very satisfying and we indeed see a great improvement in the stability of CarPlay / Android Auto and the app in generalThis (for now) final beta version is the one we aim to release to the public this week. What has been changed?
- Further stability improvements
- Addressed random crashes when not using the app
- Improvements to track navigation stability (sticking to the track) and specifically not being able to recalculate
- Zoom behavior app / CarPlay / Android Auto further tweaked
- Fixed some keypresses causing unexpected behavior when using the in-app browser
- Map style changes are immediately reflected correctly on all platforms
- Changes to resuming previous active navigation. If near the end of a planned route, it is always marked as completed. If manually stopping AB, it's always completed too. Disconnecting phone from car or killing app will preserve your active route. Pressing last route in CarPlay / Android Auto will resume an available last active route.
- Fix automatically starting / resuming tracklog when starting from CarPlay / Android Auto
Looking forward to your experiences! If nothing too dramatic occurs, we will release this version to the public.
Note: iOS will be available almost immediately, Android always takes a bit

@Corjan-Meijerink informational comment on 2nd to last bullet point, which ties directly into the last bullet point - ironically, I experienced this very thing recently, where using CarPlay, made a stop along a route that was planned, but not actually notated in the route - shut vehicle off, left phone in vehicle, went into coffee shop, came back out, restarted route. Attempted to click 'last route' on the vehicle nav screen and the route it brought up was a very old route, and nowhere near the current route being navigated. I'm assuming this is the correction these bullet points refer to. thanks,

@GT-JWR correct!
"Last route" like in the app, refers to the last edited planned route. This is the same in the website.
However in CarPlay / Android Auto, there are limited possibilities. The app itself has a nice "Resume navigation" prompt on the home screen. The CarPlay / Android Auto now intuitively triggers that when clicking "last route"
