Avoid per section

When creating a route , i found myself struggling with the fact that for a part of the route I want to allow highways (getting there fast), a middle section avoid highways and ferries and last section allow highways.
I want the travel to and from the be part of the total travel time.At this moment when setting avoid , it recalculates the whole route, the only option is to use a lot more waypoints.
Would a functionality : calculation per user defined section, be an idea to add....?

@Edwin_M you can use the custom segments for this! Check the toolkit / waypoint sidebar. Only supported by our osm maps

@Corjan-Meijerink will something like this eventually be planned/available using HERE maps? With all the nuances of OSM vs HERE vs any other map, route planning, etc, as @Edwin_M says, requires the use of many waypoints.

@Edwin_M the problem is not so much in the map material, but the differences in settings on your navigation device. I made an example of approximately 130km with a total of 4 points and used the segment calculation in OSM. Then had it recalculated in HERE map (copy route in MRA, change map, change agreed, intermediate points discarded and new intermediate points added) and I had to use 8 more points. It has an average of 1 point per 13 km. I think that's a bit too little anyway, but this route is OK in my Garmin (XT and 220). Even if you could create the winding route on a HERE map, your device will still choke on the task, because it does not know that algorithm and will calculate the fastest route from point to point. So, you just need the minimal support of multiple intermediate points.
