Just as a point of consistency, all the toggles in the start nav tab are green for include and red for not. The only exception appears to be seasonal closure when this really refers to disable seasonal closures. Would be better to have the wording say 'seasonal closures off' to align with the other toggles' logic. The red toggle says to me at the quick look that seasonal closures are disabled when the opposite is true. Just thinking about people who may not be aware of the corresponding selection in the Route Planner.

@Dave-J-0 I would like the app to remember my settings for allowed roads too. Dirt roads being one of them.

Always willing to help if I can.

@Dave-J-0, I agree, this is not logical. I think renaming the option to "Disable seasonal closures" would do the trick, it's the same wording as used in the planner toolkit.

For A2B routes yes (isn't that the case already?), but for opening pre-planned routes obviously NOT. These options are inherited from the pre-planned route, and that should be kept that way (else there is no purpose in pre-planning routes...)

I am guessing here, but I think these options will be made dependable on the transport mode somewhere along the line. So you can set default avoid options specific to Motorbike, camper, car.

I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!

Of course, we’ll remembered - I withdraw my request 😁

              Confusing? Yes!
              Incorrect? No! 🙂

So you are right, in the Routeplanner it's named "Disable seasonal closures". So if not enabled, HERE will always avoid the seasonal closures (default).

In the app, we wanted to make sure everything is more consistent.
Within the "Allowed roads" category the green means enabled and red means disabled (quite clear indeed).
So if "Disable seasonal closures" in the Routeplanner is checked, this related setting in the app will appear as enabled. This is correct as at that point, the seasonal closures are not avoided anymore and thus allowed 🙂

@Con-Hennekens correct, routing preferences are always used by the app.

@Nick-Carthew the only avoidance options that are persisted are highways / ferry / toll roads (the OSM ones). If we would support dirt roads in OSM, that category would definitely be added to the default avoidance options! Do note: when loading a route, the route avoidance options as set in the Routeplanner are always preferred. So if you generate a route, and do not allow highways, you will see that the next time you generate a route, these are indeed avoided. If loading a route (where highways are allowed), you will see that the highways are allowed 😉
