Navigation UI issues

Been on a couple of routes now in both sunny and cloudy weather conditions, and unfortunately the navigation UI is not very clear. The points below are based on iOS iPhone 14 Pro mounted on the handlebars, with and without sunglasses on, with the sun ahead, the sun behind, and cloudy days.

1. The font size for distance to next event and the distance after is so small and very difficult to quickly read whilst on a ride, as well as the next waypoint and its distance - ideally all of this needs to be much larger or redesigned - so you can quickly glance down and view the distance, rather that having to stare at it for a while (squinting eyes) to read.

2. Similar to 1, when displaying the exit for roundabout, the exit number is way too small to read whilst on the bike.

3. I don’t understand why the route line vanishes well ahead of the navigation pointer, which is really annoying and again difficult to see when you’ve arrived at a junction and need to quickly check which direction you need to take. The route should remain solid until after you’ve passed the point.

4. The white text on blue background doesn’t provide enough contrast with each other, and so again requires that extra longer glance than what should be needed, I think the background needs to be much more darker for the white text to pop. (Not copying iOS maps, but you can see how the white text on black is much more visible and vibrant)

Sorry to say but this app is actually dangerous as you end up staring at the screen far longer than needed rather than focusing on the road. Calimoto, Google Maps, and Apple Maps all have large vibrant onscreen navigation instructions which only requires a quick glance to reconfirm .

@Corjan-Meijerink Thanks for taking the feedback onboard, the MyRoute eco system is a great all-in-one solution. The planning side is really feature exhaustive and works really well, hopefully the navigation element will also get there to make it a perfect navigation app
