Misses waypoints!
-
Hi,
I've created a route in mra via the website which consisted of 4 waypoints. I then used the mra navigation app to navigate this route, but it missed out waypoint 2. Instead in calculated a direct route to the last destination - this just happened to have the other waypoints along this direct route.
I used the route option instead of track this time, but a few days ago it did the same with a different route where I asked it to follow a track. This occurred when creating the route in mra on the web then exporting the route as a gpx file for use with Sygix.
Am I doing something wrong? I have a 300 mile route set up for tomorrow with 12 waypoints that I must visit along the way and am not confident it is going to work! -
@Gordon-Lawson If you must pass specific waypoints - make them a dedicated via point (the hand symbols).
Turning off the auto skip functionality from the settings is also possible.@Gordon-Lawson said in Misses waypoints!:

I do assume you are using the app called "MyRoute-app"?

Thanks for your quick reply. I will change my waypoints (shaping points?) to via points and hope that fixes it. So what use are these shaping points if they are ignored?
(Yes, I am using MyRoute-app)

@Gordon-Lawson the waypoints are not ignored. However, on occasion, the auto skip function may skip a waypoint before you have arrived at it. I've seen this but never actually had it affect my route.

@Gordon-Lawson, DON'T! It wille effectively kill the auto-skip function. (and it is a lot of work too...) If you don't want auto-skip, just disable it in the settings (functional).
