      @StefanHummelink

      I would argue that a Long Press is the same as a double tap, time wise.
      The Long Press is not that long.

      @Lynchy67 Longpressong requires a stop to the side of the road ... One doing that while on the bike is simply on a death race. A double tap is easy to do while driving ...

        We will have to agree to disagree.
        The video is in realtime, its just a second from pressing to the change being made.

          @StefanHummelink, I can ensure you that a double tap, even on Dutch roads in urban circumstances, can be a challenge. Let alone on Belgium roads... ๐Ÿ˜‰ A long press is also something of less than a second, but your screen is not moving under your finger when you hold it. It does when you lift your finger.

          I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!

                @Corjan-Meijerink ik zal een rondje in Zoetermeer maken (of dezelfde route nog eens rijden) en het proberen te reproduceren. Geef mij een paar dagen. Ik zal het resultaat in deze post vermelden.

                  A lot postings about skipping shaping points. While i could be so simple.
                  Shaping points are shaping points. They have no value beside shaping. They should also not be visible on your navigation screen. Therefore it should be unnecessary to skip the points manually.

                  Via-points are more or less mandatory. The option to manually skip points should only be available for these type of points.

                    @StefanHummelink, well I have a friend that has the habit of stopping rather bluntly wherever he likes. That's also not a good idea most of the time... It's always about using common sense. Sometimes a press on a button is the best solution. whether on a screen or not. Does it not do what you want, look out for a safe place to pull over.

                            @Corjan-Meijerink I'm looking forward to the moment automatically skipping shaping points are available. Also hope the shaping points information (distance on upper left corner) will disappear!

                              @Corjan-Meijerink vandaag op allerlei manieren geprobeerd het issue te reproduceren. Als jij het al niet kan, wie ben ik dan??
                              Kan het eventueel een "glitch" in de schermopbouw zijn geweest die MRA daarna heeft vastgehouden? In de eerste afbeelding van mijn openingspost zie je in het bovenste blauwe vlak de aanduiding van de provinciale weg N457. Dit blauwe vlak is helemaal "uitgesmeerd" tot de rechterzijkant van het scherm, daar waar in de rode cirkel het volgende routepunt hoort te verschijnen.
                              Ik hou het op een tijdelijke fout in de schermopbouw. Geen idee of je nog iets in logging kunt terughalen? Of kan ik ergens in logging op mijn telefoon iets zoeken?

                              Wordt er alsnog een logging meegestuurd van alles wat ik gedaan heb als ik nu na een paar dagen via Testflight een melding verstuur?

                                  @Corjan-Meijerink First of all I want to inform you that English is not my native language, so I'm using the Google translator to help me write this text, which may distort my opinion a little ... but here goes: 1) if the automatic skipping shaping points means that whenever the original route is disrespected, the application automatically "jumps" to the next closest point (shaping point) ... if so, I'm also looking forward to that possibility;

                                  1. I do not agree with the disappearance of information from shaping points (distance on upper left corner), very often I use these points not only as modeling points, but also as various references during a trip with different meanings, by different colors for example, unless technically is impossible ... which is not the case.

                                  My applause for your good work ... ๐Ÿ‘

                                      @Antonio-Antunes
                                      I also like to have some references on my route. That is the only thing I realy miss with TomTom GO app. I really like the clean look of TomTom Go. No "noise" on my screen.

                                      For these reference you normally use a Via point.
                                      A shaping point is for shaping the route ( it is in the name). In my opinion not for references.
                                      All those shaping points visible on the route, makes a route unreadable (a lot of "noise").

                                      In my opinion hide all shaping points and use them only for shaping. When miss one, recalculated back or to the next one without any questions.
                                      When hidding all shaping points, only Via points are visible. This keeps the route more readable and less questions (less "noise"). You can spent more time now to the nice thing. Riding your bike on nice roads. Instead of being busy with all the information on your screen

                                      Other possibilty. Hide all Blue Shaping points. So you can use the color function of MRA.

                                      (I use MRA Next only on Android Auto. Every comment, suggestion, etc will be based on my usage with Android Auto)

                                          @M-Schrijver I understand but I don't share your opinion. A Via point is a point on the route that I really want to reach or cross, whether to have coffee, refuel, visit, etc. A Shaping point only serves to "shape" my route, that being true... but why can't I enhance a road detail (like a dangerous curve or accident site, for example) using a shaping point and assigning it a different color? It seems appropriate! However, it seems to me that too much noise is being made about this subject, since there are at least two ways to solve it ... using the options already made available by the app (Screen layout: Upcoming waypoint - Yes/No) or ... when creating a route , replace the Shaping points with Via points ... as simple as that ... ๐Ÿ˜Š
