New Beta! (v3.2.12)
-
Happy Friday!
You probably are getting used to weekly updates by now. Obviously we want you to enjoy the sunny weather and what better way to that on the bike with a freshly updated app
This update has quite some nice changes!
Improved roundabout exit indication
Finally! A massive frustration for quite some users. Our roundabouts always assumed symmetrical exists. But no, that is barely ever the case. The roundabout exits now show exactly what direction the exit is you need to take including the correct exit numberOffline routing
Who is looking forward to a internet free drive? I am!
If you've downloaded the offline maps of the region you are driving through, you can now use the app completely in offline mode. The long awaited setting for this has now been activated.Routing somewhere and you don't have the offline maps for that location? The app will ask you to go online!
Routing somewhere and your internet connection is gone? The app will ask you to go offline!Other changes
- Position indicator circle color / visbility
- Improved camera behavior for a better depth view in landscape mode (and CarPlay)
Bug fixes
- Issue where route would recalculate after passing a waypoint
- Position location indicator on screen not always correct after rotating
- Compass button not always reacting to a tap
- Menu button not always opening the menu / not able to interact with items on map
That's it for now!
We continue working on the battery drain / position delay / Android stability / Android Auto! Besides that we obviously process all your feedback and continue checking other requirements such as in this updateHave a great weekend!
Best,
Team MRA -
@Corjan-Meijerink sounds like a great update . Can’t wait to try next weekend
-
@Corjan-Meijerink Great! Thx
Hopefully Apple will make the update available soon. -
I have Android v3.2.12
Wasn’t expecting offline maps and routing this soon, wow and thank you -
Android is already available.
How many people are actively developing this app? I know @Corjan-Meijerink and Joost, but it is incredible to think this is a two-man show, especially with the large amount of Corjan's forum presence (which is greatly valued btw!). -
@Lynchy67 you are welcome!
@Bart-DM Apple will probably need a few more hours. -
@Con-Hennekens happy to hear you valuing my effort! The development is really a 2 men show I sometimes also don’t know how we manage. The forum is something I do on the side in a lot of my personal time Today isn’t even a working day for me hahah
-
@Corjan-Meijerink
Two apps (Apple/Android) with two people? Almost unbelievable. You should be proud of what you do! -
@Bart-DM thanks! We are
The capacity was however one of the reasons we choose flutter for development. We develop both apps in a single / common codebase. Also the HERE SDK is developed for flutter which was perfect.
CarPlay is the only part with native development for iOS as for obvious reasons -
@Corjan-Meijerink Happy Customers !!

You're an Apple-fan-boy, just as I'm
-
Typed up a bug report only to have the forum tell me I am forbidden from posting.
-
Great news about offline mode! I just tried to create new route by longpress on selected point of the map and application crashes every time, could you check it please? Android 13on LG V60.
What about saved routes - is there any trick to download them to the phone to use later without the internet? -
@Corjan-Meijerink Thx 4 the info
-
@Matt-Flaming you may need to log in again? https://www.myrouteapp.com/forum/login
-
@Stanisław will do. Routes can be saved offline by clicking download and scrolling to the bottom “available for offline use” (or something like that)
-
@Corjan-Meijerink it worked this way, thank you! As I am currently planning my trip partially by Switzerland it is very interesting point for me Good job!
-
Good shout, I was just about to ask the same question.
Got it now. -
@Lynchy67 @Stanisław this is something that will be improved in a future iteration
-
Great work, didn't expect offline to be available already!
